Defense Department said Thursday that Defense Secretary James Mattis will sign deployment orders to send 800 plus troops to the border with Mexico Guatemala's Minister of Defense says the caravan is "highly organized "Suspiciously, almost all migrants told SaraACarter.com that they were not paid to join the caravan and that it was not an organized event In Chiquimula along the Guatemalan-Honduran border, the heat of the day didn’t slow down the exodus of roughly 1500 people – mostly men – from marching down the small city’s main highway this week. It was the second wave of migrants who are trying to catch up with the nearly 14,000 people that have joined what Guatemalan, Honduran and U.S. officials describe as a ‘highly organized’ movement backed by leftist political groups and organizations to get thousands of migrants to the United States. On the heels of the second movement of migrants, the Defense Department said Thursday that Defense Secretary James Mattis will sign deployment orders to send 800 plus troops to the border with Mexico to assist U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in stopping the caravan. The caravan is creating a snowball effect, with more and more people joining the groups as they move through Central America and Mexico. The numbers are totaling roughly 14,000, said Guatemalan intelligence officials. “There are only so many resources we can dedicate to this issue,” said Guatemalan Secretary of Strategic Intelligence Mario Duarte. “The human traffickers are also moving their people and contraband into the caravans. The Guatemalan government is doing everything it can to turn them around and get them to go back home.” Duarte said that the migrants are also creating problems for the Guatemalan people, with robberies and other crimes increasing in the areas where they are traveling. https://youtu.be/uKB7kj5imds On Monday, the situation became more precarious. A seemingly endless column of men could be seen from the Guatemalan old Bell UH-1 Iroquois (commonly known as the Huey military helicopter) carrying Duarte and other intelligence officials to the border with Honduras. SaraACarter.com was embedded with the Guatemalan officials and watched as the men made their way across the border. On the ground, the group of men was chanting in unison that they were the “caravan of poverty.” American government watchdog organization, Judicial Watch, also had investigators on the ground and spent the day with the marchers during their visit to the Central American nation. From the outside, the caravan appeared like a well-coordinated Washington D.C. march with men at the front and middle of the columns leading the chants. Most of the people interviewed said the exodus developed spontaneously but they could not explain how buses were provided to get them to the Honduran border from their homes. They could not explain who paid for the buses or the food that was provided to them along the route to Mexico. Guatemalan Minister of Defense Luis Miguel Ralda Moreno said that the strain on the government’s resources has been difficult and said his nation is actively investigating to find the ‘culprits’ behind the exodus of people from Honduras trying to reach the United States border. Moreno has been coordinating with other Guatemalan law enforcement and intelligence agencies from his office at the Ministry of Defense in Guatemala City. This was not a spontaneous caravan, but one that was highly organized. “We’ve already deported nearly 4,000 people back to Honduras,” said Gen. Ralda, in Spanish, while stressing Guatemala’s strong cooperation with the United States. “This was not a spontaneous caravan, but one that was highly organized. The people behind this put women, children and the disabled in the front of the groups and put these people’s lives in danger. Our government is ensuring the safety and health of those who have been manipulated into this march, giving them aide and asking them to go back to their homes. Some have gone home, others have decided that they were moving on to Mexico.” In Chiquimula, “migration” officials attempted to do just that. Warning the nearly 200 plus women, along with those with children, of the dangers that lay ahead if they chose to continue onto the United States. Those in the make-shift camp who was the first to cross the border listened intently but some remained stoic in their decision to continue on with the group. “You need to turn back,” said a Guatemalan federal law enforcement official, who was in the make-shift building where the women and children were resting from the sun. “We have buses to ensure their safe return home,” said an immigration official, who was at the scene of the second wave of people and asked not to be named. “It’s not safe for the women and children. We had four buses just today sending people back to Honduras, but we can’t force them to leave.” Another government intelligence official warned the smaller group of women saying, “This is a dangerous journey for you and your children. There is nothing for you in Mexico and they may not let you in. The United States will not allow you to just cross the border. For the safety of you and your children go back.” Down the road, the troves of men were yelling, “We are coming to America, Trump” as well as “This is not about politics but about poverty.” Almost every person SaraACarter.com interviewed in the group had the same answers to every question asked about the caravan. They would in concert say, “We were not paid” or “We walked out of our homes to join the caravan because we are poor,” or “This was not organized, this was a natural movement.” The men did not discuss their free bus rides from their villages in Honduras to the border of Guatemala. A Guatemalan government official said, “We are investigating the situation and have received information that leftists groups in Honduras have been organizing these people and gathering them from their villages, paying them to take the trek and lying to them about the prospects of getting into the United States.” THE OPEN BORDERS IN CENTRAL AMERICA The Guatemalan authorities said keeping these waves out is all but impossible. They emphasized that Central America is much like the European Union, which allows its residents with proper identification to travel freely across borders making it “more problematic to control the migrants entering Guatemala,” said Mario Duarte. Even those without identification are able to find their way around the “migration” officials who are overwhelmed with those waiting for hours at the border crossing. Only two Honduran men –who had broken away from the main group and were lingering in the back–divulged that there were actually leaders in the group and that people had been recruited to join the caravan. One man, who went by the name Miguel, said that once it started, “more and more people kept joining – we’ve had food, water, and supplies from various groups supporting the caravan.” “It’s not a natural event, but what do we have to lose?” Miguel added. Although several men at the front of the trove of men appeared to be operating as leaders, they denied they were when asked by SaraACarter.com. Later, they could be heard saying to some of the men at the front of the pack “keep moving’ and “don’t speak to them.” As this second wave plows through Guatemala, government officials said that they will do everything they can to cooperate with the United States to turn people back home, but they also hope that the administration will work with Guatemala to provide training for their troops and assistance to help them build their forces to continue to support efforts to protect their American allies and the migrants from a very dangerous situation, they said. “We’re working closely with our allies in the U.S.,” said Duarte. “We are investigating this situation and will continue to seek information that will expose the criminals who are making this happen and hopefully find a way to prevent it from happening again.” https://saraacarter.com/dod-sending-u-s-troops-to-the-border-as-guatemala-launches-investigation-into-highly-organized-caravan/ n Chiquimula along the Guatemalan-Honduran border, the heat of the day didn’t slow down the exodus of roughly 1500 people – mostly men – from marching down the small city’s main highway this week. A small group of angry diners confronted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell at a restaurant Friday night, but were met with calls from other customers to leave the Kentucky Republican alone. Video obtained by TMZ shows at least one diner berating McConnell on issues such as Social Security at a restaurant in Louisville. The video starts with him yelling at McConnell and arguing with Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao -- to whom McConnell is married. The outlet reported that four men first confronted McConnell. “Oh yeh, why don’t you get out of here? Why don’t you leave our entire country,” the protester tells the couple. As Chao argues with the protester, McConnell appears unperturbed and sips on a drink. But other diners begin yelling at the protester, telling him to “leave him alone” and making shoo-ing gestures. https://youtu.be/-AfYWg1t0R4 “They’re going to come for Social Security,” he told the other diners, before appearing to be approached by staff. CRUZ CONFRONTED BY 2 PROTESTERS OVER HIS VOTE TO CONFIRM KAVANAUGH: REPORT According to TMZ, the woman who recorded the incident said the protester slammed his fists on McConnell’s table and threw food out of the restaurant after accusing McConnell of killing people with his views. McConnell reportedly later thanked some of the supporters and shook their hands. "The Leader and Sec. Chao enjoyed their meal in Louisville last night and they appreciate those who spoke up against incivility," McConnell spokesman David Popp said in a statement. "They hope other patrons weren't too inconvenienced by left-wing tantrums. As the Leader often says, the Senate will not be intimidated by the antics of far-left protestors." The incident marks the latest hounding of a Republican or Trump administration official from a restaurant. Last month Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was forced out of a restaurant by protesters angry at his support of the confirmation of now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh. McConnell and Chao were confronted by protesters earlier in the year as they left an event at Georgetown University. Chao stood up to the protesters and told them to “leave my husband alone.” MCCONNELL SAYS PROTESTERS WHO CONFRONTED HIM 'WAITED' UNTIL WIFE ELAINE CHAO WAS GONE In July, McConnell was confronted by more protesters as he left a restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky. Protesters reportedly yelled “abolish ICE” and “no justice, no peace.” https://twitter.com/Team_Mitch/status/1016319588781391875 “I see what they did here. They waited until Elaine wasn’t around,” McConnell subsequently tweeted. Fox News’ Paulina Dedaj contributed to this report. Adam Shaw is a reporter covering U.S. and European politics for Fox News.. ‘[N]o such hearings were held with respect to the acknowledged FISA applications. Accordingly, no responsive hearing transcripts exist.’ (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today announced that in response to a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, the Justice Department (DOJ) admitted in a court filing last night that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court held no hearings on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) spy warrant applications targeting Carter Page, a former Trump campaign part-time advisor who was the subject of four controversial FISA warrants. In the filing the Justice Department finally revealed that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court held no hearings on the Page FISA spy warrants, first issued in 2016 and subsequently renewed three times: [National Security Division] FOIA consulted [Office of Intelligence] … to identify and locate records responsive to [Judicial Watch’s] FOIA request…. [Office of Intelligence] determined … that there were no records, electronic or paper, responsive to [Judicial Watch’s] FOIA request with regard to Carter Page. [Office of Intelligence] further confirmed that the [Foreign Surveillance Court] considered the Page warrant applications based upon written submissions and did not hold any hearings. The Department of Justice previously released to Judicial Watch the heavily redacted Page warrant applications. The initial Page FISA warrant was granted just weeks before the 2016 election. The DOJ filing is in response to a Judicial Watch lawsuit for the FISA transcripts (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-01050)). In February, Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee released a memo criticizing the FISA targeting of Carter Page. The memo details how the “minimally corroborated” Clinton-DNC dossier was an essential part of the FBI and DOJ’s applications for surveillance warrants to spy on Page. Judicial Watch recently filed a request with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court seeking the transcripts of all hearings related to the surveillance of Carter Page. “It is disturbing that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance courts rubber-stamped the Carter Page spy warrants and held not one hearing on these extraordinary requests to spy on the Trump team,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Perhaps the court can now hold hearings on how justice was corrupted by material omissions that Hillary Clinton’s campaign, the DNC, a conflicted Bruce Ohr, a compromised Christopher Steele, and anti-Trumper Peter Strzok were all behind the ‘intelligence’ used to persuade the courts to approve the FISA warrants that targeted the Trump team.” https://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-justice-department-discloses-no-fisa-court-hearings-held-on-carter-page-warrants/ Oct 15, 2018 by Chuck Ross
Republican lawmakers have hinted for months that the FBI failed to provide federal judges on the surveillance court with information that undercut the government’s premise for opening the Trump-Russia probe in 2016. https://youtu.be/p7nmAFpzyD4 Republicans have suggested in interviews the information was related to George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign adviser whose conversation with an Australian diplomat prompted the FBI to open its investigation into the Trump campaign. Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe has provided the clearest picture to date of what the FBI allegedly withheld from the surveillance court. Ratcliffe suggested during an interview Sunday with Fox News that the FBI failed to include evidence regarding Papadopoulos. TRENDING: Liberal Activists’ Latest Attack on Kavanaugh Could Be Illegal Ratcliffe said the FBI opened its investigation on July 31, 2016, after receiving information from the Australian government about a conversation that Papadopoulos had on May 10, 2016, with Alexander Downer, the top Australian diplomat to the U.K. But Ratcliffe, a top member of the House Judiciary Committee, suggested on Sunday that the FBI and Justice Department had information that contradicted its intelligence on Papadopoulos. “Hypothetically, if the Department of Justice and the FBI have another piece of evidence that directly refutes that, that directly contradicts that, what you would expect is for the Department of Justice to present both sides of the coin to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to evaluate the weight and sufficiency of that evidence,” Ratcliffe said. “Instead, what happened here was Department of Justice and FBI officials in the Obama administration in October of 2016 only presented to the court the evidence that made the government’s case to get a warrant to spy on a Trump campaign associate,” he added. The FBI obtained a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, warrant against another Trump campaign aide Carter Page on Oct. 21, 2016. The application for the warrant relied heavily on the unverified Steele dossier to assert that Page was acting as a foreign agent of Russia. Page has vehemently denied the allegations. The FBI’s FISA applications also referred to Papadopoulos, but the documents are so heavily redacted that it is not clear why he is mentioned. Other Republican lawmakers have hinted that intelligence exists which exonerates Papadopoulos, who has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about contacts he had with a Maltese professor named Joseph Mifsud. Ratcliffe said that declassification of a batch of FBI and Justice Department documents “would corroborate” his claims about the Papadopoulos intelligence. Republicans have pressed President Donald Trump to declassify the documents, which include 21 pages from a June 2016 FISA application against Page. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes has said the FBI failed to provide “exculpatory evidence” in the FISA applications. He has also said that Americans will be “shocked” by the information behind the FISA redactions. RELATED: Andrew Cuomo Blames Trump After Antifa Violently Attacks Right-Wing Group Trump ordered the documents declassified on Sept. 17, but rescinded the order four days later. In backtracking from the request, Trump said the Justice Department and two foreign allies had asked him not to declassify the documents. “My opinion is that declassifying them would not expose any national security information, would not expose any sources and methods,” said Ratcliffe. “It would expose certain folks at the Obama Justice Department and FBI and their actions taken to conceal material faces from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.” https://www.westernjournal.com/top-gop-rep-says-fbi-kept-evidence-torpedo-trump-investigation/ ------ Related https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/top-fbi-lawyer-we-took-rosenstein-talk-of-bugging-the-president-very-seriously Oct 12, 2018
New emails appear to be among those Clinton had attempted to delete or had otherwise failed to disclose Federal Court Hearing Scheduled for Thursday, October 11, to discuss documents State Department continues to hold, review possible Judicial Watch challenges (Washington, DC) — Judicial Watch announced today that it received 288 pages of newly uncovered emails of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that were transmitted over her unsecure, non-“state.gov” email system, three of which contain classified information. Judicial Watch obtained the documents in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed on May 6, 2015, after the State Department failed to respond to a March 4, 2015, FOIA request (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00687)) seeking: All emails sent or received by former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton in her official capacity as Secretary of State, as well as all emails by other State Department employees to Secretary Clinton regarding her non-“state.gov” email address. The documents are part of an accelerated schedule of production ordered by U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg, which required the State Department to complete processing by September 28, 2018, the remaining documents of the 72,000 pages recovered by the FBI in its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illicit email server. These new classified and other emails appear to be among those that Clinton had attempted to delete or had otherwise failed to disclose. Classified information was sent in a January 26, 2010, email from Jake Sullivan, Secretary Clinton’s top foreign policy adviser, to Clinton and her top aide Huma Abedin explaining that he has “pasted” (his word) from another document a written summary sent to him from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Blair’s conversations are with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Irish leaders regarding the sensitive Northern Ireland peace process. Also included is a classified April 8, 2010, email from secret Clinton adviser Sid Blumenthal (who was barred from a State Department position by the Obama administration and regardless continued to advise Clinton on matters of state) about the change of government in Kyrgyzstan. And the emails include a classified June 13, 2009, email from Sullivan to Clinton and aide Cheryl Mills regarding Sullivan’s discussions with Northern Ireland leaders. The new documents obtained by Judicial Watch also show Hillary Clinton being given speech-making advice by Blumenthal. They reveal a potential conflict of interest between the Clintons. They also contain information about a CIA team killed by al Qaeda:
Last year, the FBI uncovered 72,000 pages of documents Clinton attempted to delete or did not otherwise disclose. Until the court intervened and established a new deadline of September 28, 2018, the State Department had been slow-walking the release of those documents at a rate that would have required Judicial Watch and the American people to wait until at least 2020 to see all the releasable Clinton material. Hillary Clinton repeatedly stated that the 55,000 pages of documents she turned over to the State Department in December 2014 included all of her work-related emails. In response to a court order in another Judicial Watch case, she declared under penalty of perjury that she had “directed that all my emails on clintonemail.com in my custody that were or are potentially federal records be provided to the Department of State, and on information and belief, this has been done.” In a hearing on Thursday, Judicial Watch will report the estimated number or percentage of withheld information it intends to challenge. A hearing in federal court is scheduled: Date: Thursday, October 11, 2018 Time: 10:00 a.m. Location: Courtroom 25 U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia 333 Constitution Ave NW Washington, DC 20001 To read all press releases related to this case click here. https://arlinreport.com/2018/10/13/judicial-watch-uncovers-more-classified-material-on-hillary-clintons-unsecure-email-system-socialism-is-not-the-answer/ Oct 12, 2018 by Tyler Durden
Authored by Michael Snyder via The American Dream blog, Donald Trump just made one of the most brilliant moves of his entire presidency. By accusing the Federal Reserve of “going loco”, he is placing the blame for the coming stock market crash and horrifying economic downturn squarely where it belongs, and he is firing up millions of true conservatives among his base at the same time. For many, many years, a lot of us have been trying to educate the American people about the deeply insidious Federal Reserve system. As Ron Paul once so astutely observed, it is actually about as “federal” as Federal Express is. The Federal Reserve is an unelected cabal of central bankers that is running our economy into the ground, and the only way we are going to fix our long-term economic and financial problems is if we abolish it. So for those of us that understand these things, it is extremely exciting to hear President Trump use language such as this… President Donald Trump knocked the Federal Reserve for continuing to raise interest rates despite some recent market turbulence. “I think the Fed is making a mistake. They are so tight. I think the Fed has gone crazy,” the president said after walking off Air Force One in Erie, Pennsylvania for a rally. That may be one of the greatest things that Donald Trump has ever said. And if Trump feels like his base is really responding to this sort of rhetoric, he may start using it as a campaign tactic. Could you imagine thousands upon thousands of supporters chanting “End the Fed” at Trump rallies leading up to the 2020 election? That would definitely be a beautiful thing. Without a doubt, the Federal Reserve has created “the everything bubble”, and when it bursts the economic pain is going to be off the charts. Of course the left is going to want to blame Trump, and so Trump is being very smart by pointing a finger at the Fed for aggressively raising rates at a time when the U.S. economy is already slowing down. And you know what? CNBC’s Jim Cramer actually agrees with Trump… “I agree with President Trump that the Fed needs to tighten less aggressively, even as he probably shouldn’t have said those nasty things in public because he’s making it harder, not easier, for Jerome Powell to give him what he wants,” he said. “When you look at the economy empirically right now, you start to see real problems.” Following those comments, Cramer offered some examples of the “real problems” that he is seeing throughout our economy… Sources within the auto industry, in addition to major suppliers PPG Industries and Trinseo, have suggested to the “Mad Money” host that there is a “definitive slowdown” in auto sales. “Housing is either pausing or down for the count,” he said. “We know this because it’s what Lennar, the largest homebuilder in America, told us. Lennar has its pulse on every market.” Key economic building blocks — things like packing materials and plastic — are either stagnant or dropping in price, indicating a slowdown in shipping, a leading barometer for the state of the economy, Cramer said. Needless to say, criticizing the Federal Reserve is a very dangerous thing to do, and there is a reason why previous presidents have never dared to do so. But that is one of the great things about Trump. He simply refuses to be controlled, and he will not be intimidated by threats. We desperately need a president that is willing to stand up to the elite and call for the abolition of the Federal Reserve. For a long time it appeared that doing something about the Fed was not on Trump’s radar, but now that may be changing. So let us hope that Trump’s war with the Federal Reserve escalates significantly, because we want this to be a top national issue during the 2020 presidential election. The following is a list of 101 reasons why the Federal Reserve should be shut down that is an updated version of an earlier list from one of my previous articles… #1 We like to think that we have a government “of the people, by the people, for the people”, but the truth is that an unelected, unaccountable group of central planners has far more power over our economy than anyone else in our society does. #2 The Federal Reserve is actually “independent” of the government. In fact, the Federal Reserve has argued vehemently in federal court that it is “not an agency”of the federal government and therefore not subject to the Freedom of Information Act. #3 The Federal Reserve openly admits that the 12 regional Federal Reserve banks are organized “much like private corporations“. #4 The regional Federal Reserve banks issue shares of stock to the “member banks” that own them. #5 100% of the shareholders of the Federal Reserve are private banks. The U.S. government owns zero shares. #6 The Federal Reserve is not an agency of the federal government, but it has been given power to regulate our banks and financial institutions. This should not be happening. #7 According to Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, the U.S. Congress is the one that is supposed to have the authority to “coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures”. So why is the Federal Reserve doing it? #8 If you look at a “U.S. dollar”, it actually says “Federal Reserve note” at the top. In the financial world, a “note” is an instrument of debt. #9 In 1963, President John F. Kennedy issued Executive Order 11110 which authorized the U.S. Treasury to issue “United States notes” which were created by the U.S. government directly and not by the Federal Reserve. He was assassinated shortly thereafter. #10 Many of the debt-free United States notes issued under President Kennedy are still in circulation today. #11 The Federal Reserve determines what levels some of the most important interest rates in our system are going to be set at. In a free market system, the free market would determine those interest rates. #12 The Federal Reserve has become so powerful that it is now known as “the fourth branch of government“. #13 The greatest period of economic growth in U.S. history was when there was no central bank. #14 The Federal Reserve was designed to be a perpetual debt machine. The bankers that designed it intended to trap the U.S. government in a perpetual debt spiral from which it could never possibly escape. Since the Federal Reserve was established 100 years ago, the U.S. national debt has gotten more than 5000 times larger. #15 A permanent federal income tax was established the exact same year that the Federal Reserve was created. This was not a coincidence. In order to pay for all of the government debt that the Federal Reserve would create, a federal income tax was necessary. The whole idea was to transfer wealth from our pockets to the federal government and from the federal government to the bankers. #16 The period prior to 1913 (when there was no income tax) was the greatest period of economic growth in U.S. history. #17 Today, the U.S. tax code is about 13 miles long. #18 From the time that the Federal Reserve was created until now, the U.S. dollar has lost 98 percent of its value. #19 From the time that President Nixon took us off the gold standard until now, the U.S. dollar has lost 83 percent of its value. #20 During the 100 years before the Federal Reserve was created, the U.S. economy rarely had any problems with inflation. But since the Federal Reserve was established, the U.S. economy has experienced constant and never ending inflation. #21 In the century before the Federal Reserve was created, the average annual rate of inflation was about half a percent. In the century since the Federal Reserve was created, the average annual rate of inflation has been about 3.5 percent. #22 The Federal Reserve has stripped the middle class of trillions of dollars of wealth through the hidden tax of inflation. #23 The size of M1 has nearly doubled since 2008 thanks to the reckless money printing that the Federal Reserve has been doing. #24 The Federal Reserve has been starting to behave like the Weimar Republic, and we all remember how that ended. #25 The Federal Reserve has been consistently lying to us about the level of inflation in our economy. If the inflation rate was still calculated the same way that it was back when Jimmy Carter was president, the official rate of inflation would be somewhere about 10 percent today. #26 Since the Federal Reserve was created, there have been 18 distinct recessions or depressions: 1918, 1920, 1923, 1926, 1929, 1937, 1945, 1949, 1953, 1958, 1960, 1969, 1973, 1980, 1981, 1990, 2001, 2008. #27 Within 20 years of the creation of the Federal Reserve, the U.S. economy was plunged into the Great Depression. #28 The Federal Reserve created the conditions that caused the stock market crash of 1929, and even Ben Bernanke admits that the response by the Fed to that crisis made the Great Depression even worse than it should have been. #29 The “easy money” policies of former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan set the stage for the great financial crisis of 2008. #30 Without the Federal Reserve, the “subprime mortgage meltdown” would probably never have happened. #31 If you can believe it, there have been 10 different economic recessions since 1950. The Federal Reserve created the “dotcom bubble”, the Federal Reserve created the “housing bubble” and now it has created “the everything bubble” which threatens to plunge us into the worst economic downturn in world history once it bursts. #32 According to an official government report, the Federal Reserve made 16.1 trillion dollars in secret loans to the big banks during the last financial crisis. The following is a list of loan recipients that was taken directly from page 131 of the report… Citigroup – $2.513 trillion Morgan Stanley – $2.041 trillion Merrill Lynch – $1.949 trillion Bank of America – $1.344 trillion Barclays PLC – $868 billion Bear Sterns – $853 billion Goldman Sachs – $814 billion Royal Bank of Scotland – $541 billion JP Morgan Chase – $391 billion Deutsche Bank – $354 billion UBS – $287 billion Credit Suisse – $262 billion Lehman Brothers – $183 billion Bank of Scotland – $181 billion BNP Paribas – $175 billion Wells Fargo – $159 billion Dexia – $159 billion Wachovia – $142 billion Dresdner Bank – $135 billion Societe Generale – $124 billion “All Other Borrowers” – $2.639 trillion #33 The Federal Reserve also paid those big banks $659.4 million in “fees” to help “administer” those secret loans. #34 During the last financial crisis, big European banks were allowed to borrow an “unlimited” amount of money from the Federal Reserve at ultra-low interest rates. #35 The “easy money” policies of Federal Reserve Chairs Ben Bernanke and Janet Yellen have created the largest financial bubble this nation has ever seen, and this has set the stage for the great financial crisis that we are rapidly approaching. #36 Since late 2008, the size of the Federal Reserve balance sheet has grown from less than a trillion dollars to more than 4 trillion dollars. This is complete and utter insanity. #37 During the quantitative easing era, the value of the financial securities that the Fed accumulated was greater than the total amount of publicly held debt that the U.S. government accumulated from the presidency of George Washington through the end of the presidency of Bill Clinton. #38 Overall, the Federal Reserve now holds more than 32 percent of all 10 year equivalents. #39 Quantitative easing creates financial bubbles, and when quantitative easing ends those bubbles tend to deflate rapidly. #40 Most of the new money created by quantitative easing has ended up in the hands of the very wealthy. #41 According to a prominent Federal Reserve insider, quantitative easing has been one giant “subsidy” for Wall Street banks. #42 As one CNBC article stated, we have seen absolutely rampant inflation in “stocks and bonds and art and Ferraris“. #43 Donald Trump once made the following statement about quantitative easing: “People like me will benefit from this.” #44 Most people have never heard about this, but a very interesting studyconducted for the Bank of England shows that quantitative easing actually increases the gap between the wealthy and the poor. #45 The gap between the top one percent and the rest of the country is now the greatest that it has been since the 1920s. #46 The mainstream media has sold quantitative easing to the American public as an “economic stimulus program”, but the truth is that the percentage of working age Americans that have a job is actually much lower than it was just prior to the last recession. #47 The Federal Reserve is supposed to be able to guide the nation toward “full employment”, but the reality of the matter is that nearly 102 million working age Americans do not have a job right now. That number has risen by about 27 million since the year 2000. #48 For years, the projections of economic growth by the Federal Reserve have consistently overstated the strength of the U.S. economy. But every single time, the mainstream media continues to report that these numbers are “reliable” even though all they actually represent is wishful thinking. #49 The Federal Reserve system fuels the growth of government, and the growth of government fuels the growth of the Federal Reserve system. Since 1970, federal spending has grown nearly 12 times as rapidly as median household income has. #50 The Federal Reserve is supposed to look out for the health of all U.S. banks, but the truth is that they only seem to be concerned about the big ones. In 1985, there were more than 18,000 banks in the United States. Today, there are only 6,891 left. #51 The six largest banks in the United States (JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley) have collectively gotten 37 percent larger over the past five years. #52 The U.S. banking system has 14.4 trillion dollars in total assets. The six largest banks now account for 67 percent of those assets and all of the other banks account for only 33 percent of those assets. #53 The five largest banks now account for 42 percent of all loans in the United States. #54 We were told that the purpose of quantitative easing was to help “stimulate the economy”, but today the Federal Reserve is actually paying the big banks not to lend out 1.8 trillion dollars in “excess reserves” that they have parked at the Fed. #55 The Federal Reserve has allowed an absolutely gigantic derivatives bubble to inflate which could destroy our financial system at any moment. Right now, four of the “too big to fail” banks each have total exposure to derivatives that is well in excess of 40 trillion dollars. #56 The total exposure that Goldman Sachs has to derivatives contracts is more than 381 times greater than their total assets. #57 Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has a track record of failure that would make the Chicago Cubs look good. #58 The secret November 1910 gathering at Jekyll Island, Georgia during which the plan for the Federal Reserve was hatched was attended by U.S. Senator Nelson W. Aldrich, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Department A.P. Andrews and a whole host of representatives from the upper crust of the Wall Street banking establishment. #59 The Federal Reserve was created by the big Wall Street banks and for the benefit of the big Wall Street banks. #60 In 1913, Congress was promised that if the Federal Reserve Act was passed that it would eliminate the business cycle. #61 There has never been a true comprehensive audit of the Federal Reserve since it was created back in 1913. #62 The Federal Reserve system has been described as “the biggest Ponzi scheme in the history of the world“. #63 The following comes directly from the Fed’s official mission statement: “To provide the nation with a safer, more flexible, and more stable monetary and financial system.” Without a doubt, the Federal Reserve has failed in those tasks dramatically. #64 The Fed decides what the target rate of inflation should be, what the target rate of unemployment should be and what the size of the money supply is going to be. This is quite similar to the “central planning” that goes on in communist nations, but very few people in our government seem upset by this. #65 A couple of years ago, Federal Reserve officials walked into one bank in Oklahoma and demanded that they take down all the Bible verses and all the Christmas buttons that the bank had been displaying. #66 The Federal Reserve has taken some other very frightening steps in recent years. For example, back in 2011 the Federal Reserve announced plans to identify “key bloggers” and to monitor “billions of conversations” about the Fed on Facebook, Twitter, forums and blogs. Someone at the Fed will almost certainly end up reading this article. #67 Thanks to this endless debt spiral that we are trapped in, a massive amount of money is transferred out of our pockets and into the pockets of the ultra-wealthy each year. This year, the federal government will spend more than half a trillion dollars just on interest on the national debt. #68 In January 2000, the average rate of interest on the government’s marketable debt was 6.620 percent. If we got back to that level today, we would be paying more than a trillion dollars a year just in interest on the national debt and it would collapse our entire financial system. #69 The American people are being killed by compound interest but most of them don’t even understand what it is. Albert Einstein once made the following statement about compound interest… “Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn’t … pays it.” #70 Most Americans have absolutely no idea where money comes from. The truth is that the Federal Reserve just creates it out of thin air. The following is how I have previously described how money is normally created by the Fed in our system… When the U.S. government decides that it wants to spend another billion dollars that it does not have, it does not print up a billion dollars. Rather, the U.S. government creates a bunch of U.S. Treasury bonds (debt) and takes them over to the Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve creates a billion dollars out of thin air and exchanges them for the U.S. Treasury bonds. #71 What does the Federal Reserve do with those U.S. Treasury bonds? They end up getting auctioned off to the highest bidder. But this entire process actually creates more debt than it does money… The U.S. Treasury bonds that the Federal Reserve receives in exchange for the money it has created out of nothing are auctioned off through the Federal Reserve system. But wait. There is a problem. Because the U.S. government must pay interest on the Treasury bonds, the amount of debt that has been created by this transaction is greater than the amount of money that has been created. So where will the U.S. government get the money to pay that debt? Well, the theory is that we can get money to circulate through the economy really, really fast and tax it at a high enough rate that the government will be able to collect enough taxes to pay the debt. But that never actually happens, does it? And the creators of the Federal Reserve understood this as well. They understood that the U.S. government would not have enough money to both run the government and service the national debt. They knew that the U.S. government would have to keep borrowing even more money in an attempt to keep up with the game. #72 Of course the U.S. government could actually create money and spend it directly into the economy without the Federal Reserve being involved at all. But then we wouldn’t be 21 trillion dollars in debt and that wouldn’t serve the interests of the bankers at all. #73 The following is what Thomas Edison once had to say about our absolutely insane debt-based financial system… That is to say, under the old way any time we wish to add to the national wealth we are compelled to add to the national debt. Now, that is what Henry Ford wants to prevent. He thinks it is stupid, and so do I, that for the loan of $30,000,000 of their own money the people of the United States should be compelled to pay $66,000,000 — that is what it amounts to, with interest. People who will not turn a shovelful of dirt nor contribute a pound of material will collect more money from the United States than will the people who supply the material and do the work. That is the terrible thing about interest. In all our great bond issues the interest is always greater than the principal. All of the great public works cost more than twice the actual cost, on that account. Under the present system of doing business we simply add 120 to 150 per cent, to the stated cost. But here is the point: If our nation can issue a dollar bond, it can issue a dollar bill. The element that makes the bond good makes the bill good. #74 The United States now has the largest national debt in the history of the world, and we are stealing more than 100 million dollars from our children and our grandchildren every single hour of every single day in a desperate attempt to keep the debt spiral going. #75 Thomas Jefferson once stated that if he could add just one more amendment to the U.S. Constitution it would be a ban on all government borrowing… I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our Constitution. I would be willing to depend on that alone for the reduction of the administration of our government to the genuine principles of its Constitution; I mean an additional article, taking from the federal government the power of borrowing. #76 At this moment, the U.S. national debt is sitting at $21,594,438,319,301.65. If we had followed the advice of Thomas Jefferson, it would be sitting at zero. #77 When the Federal Reserve was first established, the U.S. national debt was sitting at about 2.9 billion dollars. On average, we have been adding more than that to the national debt every single day since Barack Obama first entered the White House. #78 We accumulated nearly as much new debt during the 8 years of the Obama administration than we did under all of the other presidents in all of U.S. history combined. #79 If all of the new debt that has been accumulated since the Republicans took control of Congress had been given directly to the American people instead, every household in America would have been able to buy a new truck. #80 Between 2008 and 2012, U.S. government debt grew by 60.7 percent, but U.S. GDP only grew by a total of about 8.5 percent during that entire time period. #81 Since 2007, the U.S. debt to GDP ratio has increased from 66.6 percent to 105.4 percent. #82 According to the U.S. Treasury, foreigners hold approximately 5.6 trillion dollars of our debt. #83 The amount of U.S. government debt held by foreigners is about 5 times larger than it was just a decade ago. #84 As I have written about previously, if the U.S. national debt was reduced to a stack of one dollar bills it would circle the earth at the equator 45 times. #85 If Bill Gates gave every single penny of his entire fortune to the U.S. government, it would only cover the U.S. budget deficit for 15 days. #86 Sometimes we forget just how much money a trillion dollars is. If you were alive when Jesus Christ was born and you spent one million dollars every single day since that point, you still would not have spent one trillion dollars by now. #87 If right this moment you went out and started spending one dollar every single second, it would take you more than 31,000 years to spend one trillion dollars. #88 In addition to all of our debt, the U.S. government has also accumulated more than 200 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities. So where in the world will all of that money come from? #89 The greatest damage that quantitative easing has been causing to our economy is the fact that it is destroying worldwide faith in the U.S. dollar and in U.S. debt. If the rest of the world stops using our dollars and stops buying our debt, we are going to be in a massive amount of trouble. #90 Over the past several years, the Federal Reserve has been monetizing a staggering amount of U.S. government debt even though the Fed previously promised that this would never happen. #91 China recently announced that they are going to quit stockpiling more U.S. dollars. If the Federal Reserve was not recklessly printing money, this would probably not have happened. #92 Most Americans have no idea that one of our most famous presidents was absolutely obsessed with getting rid of central banking in the United States. The following is a February 1834 quote by President Andrew Jackson about the evils of central banking… I too have been a close observer of the doings of the Bank of the United States. I have had men watching you for a long time, and am convinced that you have used the funds of the bank to speculate in the breadstuffs of the country. When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the Bank. You tell me that if I take the deposits from the Bank and annul its charter I shall ruin ten thousand families. That may be true, gentlemen, but that is your sin! Should I let you go on, you will ruin fifty thousand families, and that would be my sin! You are a den of vipers and thieves. I have determined to rout you out and, by the Eternal, (bringing his fist down on the table) I will rout you out. #93 There are plenty of possible alternative financial systems, but at this point all 187 nations that belong to the IMF have a central bank. Are we supposed to believe that this is just some sort of a bizarre coincidence? #94 The capstone of the global central banking system is an organization known as the Bank for International Settlements. The following is how I described this organization in a previous article… An immensely powerful international organization that most people have never even heard of secretly controls the money supply of the entire globe. It is called the Bank for International Settlements, and it is the central bank of central banks. It is located in Basel, Switzerland, but it also has branches in Hong Kong and Mexico City. It is essentially an unelected, unaccountable central bank of the world that has complete immunity from taxation and from national laws. Even Wikipedia admits that “it is not accountable to any single national government.” The Bank for International Settlements was used to launder money for the Nazis during World War II, but these days the main purpose of the BIS is to guide and direct the centrally-planned global financial system. Today, 58 global central banks belong to the BIS, and it has far more power over how the U.S. economy (or any other economy for that matter) will perform over the course of the next year than any politician does. Every two months, the central bankers of the world gather in Basel for another “Global Economy Meeting”. During those meetings, decisions are made which affect every man, woman and child on the planet, and yet none of us have any say in what goes on. The Bank for International Settlements is an organization that was founded by the global elite and it operates for the benefit of the global elite, and it is intended to be one of the key cornerstones of the emerging one world economic system. #95 The borrower is the servant of the lender, and the Federal Reserve has turned all of us into debt slaves. #96 Debt is a form of social control, and the global elite use all of this debt to dominate all the rest of us. 40 years ago, the total amount of debt in our system (all government debt, all business debt, all consumer debt, etc.) was sitting at about 3 trillion dollars. Today, the grand total is approaching 60 trillion dollars. #97 Unless something dramatic is done, our children and our grandchildren will be debt slaves for their entire lives as they service our debts and pay for our mistakes. #98 Now that you know this information, you are responsible for doing something about it. #99 Congress has the power to shut down the Federal Reserve any time that it would like. But right now most of our politicians fully endorse the current system, and nothing is ever going to happen until the American people start demanding change. #100 The design of the Federal Reserve system was flawed from the very beginning. If something is not done very rapidly, it is inevitable that our entire financial system is going to suffer an absolutely nightmarish collapse. #101 Shutting down the Federal Reserve would make Donald Trump a national hero, and potentially one of the greatest presidents in United States history. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-10-12/trump-right-fed-crazy-and-heres-101-reasons-why-it-should-be-shut-down October 11, 2018 by By Judson Berger
President Trump, in an interview Thursday with “Fox & Friends,” rebuked Eric Holder for his call to “kick” Republicans and spurn civility, saying the Obama attorney general’s comments were “disgusting” and “dangerous.” https://youtu.be/IPFFxqDQ_3I “He better be careful what he’s wishing for,” Trump told Fox News. “That’s a disgusting statement for him to make.” Holder was captured on video speaking Sunday at a campaign event for local Georgia Democratic candidates. In the clip, he rejected former first lady Michelle Obama's famous call for civility in politics – adopting a confrontational tone that’s become increasingly fashionable amid the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation fight and other debates. "It is time for us, as Democrats, to be as tough as they are, to be as dedicated as they are, to be as committed as they are," Holder told the crowd. "Michelle always says -- I love her; she and my wife are like, really tight, which always scares me and Barack -- but Michelle always says, 'When they go low, we go high.' No. When they go low, we kick 'em." His fiery remarks came after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told CNN in an interview, “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for." Holder is considered a potential 2020 presidential candidate and has said he will make a final decision on running early next year. Regarding that possibility, Trump said, “I think the primaries would gobble him up.” Trump has long been accused of contributing heavily to the coarsening of U.S. politics – with his personal insults lobbed during the 2016 campaign, his raucous rallies complete with “lock her up” chants, and his unbridled Twitter attacks on those who criticize him. During the “Fox & Friends” interview, though, he said his rallies are “calm and well-run.” Trump also weighed in on an ongoing tussle between House Republicans and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who so far has balked at appearing before congressional committees to answer questions on reports he once suggested wearing a “wire” against the president and invoking the 25th Amendment to remove him from office. A few conservative lawmakers want to subpoena Rosenstein, who denies the reports – but when asked about the dispute, Trump stayed relatively neutral. He said Thursday he’s “a little surprised” Rosenstein wouldn’t want to testify on the issue, given what Rosenstein told him in a recent meeting, but stressed that they get along well. In the interview Thursday, Trump also was pressed anew over the mysterious and disturbing disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and Washington Post contributor who has not been seen since entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2. Turkish officials say they believe Khashoggi was murdered in the building by an "assassination squad” – and The Washington Post reported that Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, previously ordered that Khashoggi be lured to that country from his home in the U.S. and detained. As Saudi Arabia denies involvement, the deep suspicion has raised questions about the historically strong U.S.-Saudi alliance, with some U.S. lawmakers calling for consequences against the Kingdom. Trump said Thursday the situation is looking “very serious,” but would not draw any conclusions at this stage. “I have to find out what happened,” he said. Trump spoke to Fox News on the heels of another rally in Trump country, speaking Wednesday night to supporters in Erie, Pa., where he again blasted Democrats for their efforts to derail now-Justice Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court bid. He called their actions a “disgrace” and said he “never even thought” about abandoning Kavanaugh in the face of several sexual misconduct allegations. In the wake of Kavanaugh’s narrow confirmation, Trump has swiftly returned to his trademark caustic tone – openly challenging accuser Christine Blasey Ford’s recollection of events, after initially describing her as a “credible” witness. Ford accused Kavanaugh of groping and trying to force himself on her at a high school party more than three decades ago, an incident Kavanaugh denied. Trump now sees a potential backlash brewing against Democrats, however, for their role in the chaotic confirmation process and has doubled down in efforts to condemn them, hoping it pays dividends at the midterm polls. He has been increasingly visible on the campaign trail, holding near-daily rallies to whip up GOP support while boosting Republican candidates and assailing their Democratic rivals. He even published a rare op-ed Wednesday attacking Democrats for their “Medicare for All” health care plan – accusing the party of slipping into socialism. He warned the plan could hurt seniors, but sponsor Sen. Bernie Sanders said that wasn’t true. “Now the president, who has a very difficult time telling the truth about anything, is lying about the Medicare for All proposal that I introduced, which poll after poll after shows has strong majority support among the American people,” the Vermont senator said in a statement. Ahead of a White House meeting Thursday with Kanye West and NFL great Jim Brown, Trump also stressed that he is picking up support in the African-American community, citing economic gains. And he backed calls from both icons for criminal justice reform. “It’s very unfair right now. It’s very unfair to African Americans, it’s very unfair to everybody,” he said Thursday. In a pointed response, he said when asked about Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ well-known resistance to prison reform, “If he doesn’t [support it], then he gets overruled by me. Because I make the decision, he doesn’t.” Fox News’ Gregg Re and Samuel Chamberlain contributed to this report. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-blasts-eric-holder-over-kick-em-comment-disgusting-statement Oct 10, 2018 by DC Whispers
As bad as tensions already are in America between the left and the right Hillary Clinton demanded this week that they get much worse. This is no time to be civil said Mrs. Clinton. And that civility is not to return until Democrats once again have power in America. It was an open call for violent rebellion within this country coming from the former Democrat presidential candidate. It appears some are listening. A truck with pro-Trump stickers on it was recently fire-bombed as more and more appear willing to follow Clinton’s demand for increased violence intended to intimidate all political opposition to the far left. https://twitter.com/Oregonian/status/1049741732668211202 https://youtu.be/gjyu31_cbTw http://dcwhispers.com/truck-with-pro-trump-stickers-set-on-fire-after-hillary-clinton-declares-war-on-trump-supporters/ ------ Related https://www.foxnews.com/politics/kavanaugh-coping-mechanisms-5-wild-dem-schemes-to-counter-trumps-scotus-win http://insider.foxnews.com/2018/10/10/laura-ingraham-democrats-resorting-anarchy-after-kavanaugh-scotus-appointment Oct 8, 2018 by DC Whispers
Far left Democrats and their hyper-partisan media cohorts were counting on women being willing to pressure Republicans into dropping the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh. They weren’t. Now, women all across the country are angry at the indirect 24/7 attacks on men in America, men who represent their sons, their husbands, brothers, uncles, and friends. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Via USA TODAY: Democrats’ partisan treatment of Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations against Brett Kavanaugh shows women just who is really on their side. …Ford’s claims of sexual assault were not believed because they were not believable. Beyond Ford, Democrats further harmed the cause of justice for sexual abuse victims by propping up Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick’s charges of sexual misconduct as “serious allegations.” Ramirez, who claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her while they were both freshman at Yale, came forward with her allegation only after spending a week chatting with attorneys and thinking over her decades-old memory of a drunken night. And every person with direct knowledge of the supposed assault denied Kavanaugh’s involvement. Swetnick’s ridiculous gang-rape charge advanced by lawyer Michael Avenatti, of Stormy Daniels’ fame, further proved the political motivation behind these unbelievable 11th-hour claims. Every fake rape claim, from Tawana Brawley’s tale in the late 1980s that four white men kidnapped and raped her, to the fiction Rolling Stone magazine perpetuated when it told “Jackie’s” tale of being raped by University of Virginia fraternity members, increases the public’s skepticism of sexual assault allegations. And skepticism quickly hardens to cynicism when the story screams it is a partisan hit job. The cynicism, however, will not be limited to high-profile cases with clear political motivations. That is why the Democrats’ failed attempt to keep Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court will also backfire electorally when women flock to the polls next month for midterm elections. Women see allegations as a risk for families The extreme left of the Democratic Party may celebrate leaders’ no-holds-bar attempt to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation, but swing suburban moms are appalled by the Democrats’ ill-use of Ford, Ramirez, and Swetnick. In Ford, women saw a distraught and damaged woman paraded before the Senate, her privacy in tatters because her sexual assault allegations were leaked to the news media at the most politically opportune moment. And as Ford’s story fell apart following her testimony, women saw the obvious harm the Democrats’ tactic will inflict on real victims of sexual assault. Moderate women voters also find Democratic senators’ utter disregard for the men affected by false claims of sexual assault terrifying. Women watched as Kavanaugh spoke forcefully to defend his name and honor, and in Kavanaugh, women saw their innocent fathers, husbands, brothers, or sons, falsely accused, condemned and left with a reputation irreparably damaged. And in Kavanaugh’s loving wife, young daughters and distraught mother, women saw themselves and their families. Women also saw the future of a society that puts politics over the principles of fairness and the presumption of innocence. And they saw Democrats leading that charge. Democratic politicians, professional protesters and reproductive-rights activists are so blinded by their rage at how President Donald Trump succeeded in appointing a second originalist justice to the Supreme Court, they cannot see the anger they unleashed in the apolitical populace across America. They will see it, though, come November. http://dcwhispers.com/democrats-have-angered-mothers-wives-sisters-and-friends-of-men-all-across-america/ |
